I’m happy and sad to be a Canadian social media nerd. Our twitter accounts are “landlocked” to our computers (unless you have a smartphone), and now apparently we are missing out on the latest internet trend for adults – hulu.com.
According to the Wall Street Journal, and Hitwise, hulu.com is unique in that it’s original audience was 55+ as opposed to the myspace/facebook happy 18 – 24 market. In the last 6 months, hulu.com has risen to be the 4th ranked online video site, behind giants such as YouTube, Google Video and MySpace Video – pretty impressive. Too bad it’s not available outside of the United States … I had to go to their competitor site in order to show you this ad!
